Orange Blog Hop

Preview

Hello and welcome to my blog if you have come  from   Scrapulescence@ http://www.berylmorgan.typepad.com/   you are in the right place. This is a stop on the Orange Blog Hop where members of Fiskateers, a community sponsored by Fiskars, is sharing their passion for crafting.

Today I am going to share a card I made using some of my Fiskars tools and of course, I had to use orange in honor of our hop today.  :)

I used my paper trimmer to cut my paper to size. I used the upper crest border punch to create the strip the flowers are on. I used the oopsie daisy punch for the flowers, I punched out 3 flowers in 2 different papers and layered them to make these cute flowers. I finished them by using my hole punch and adding brads.

I inked the edges of the card and each of the elements then added some stickles to add a little sparkle. I hope I have inspired you to get out your tools and have some fun crafting today.

If It's Groovy: Postage Stamp Challenge

Our challenge this month was to use postage stamps on a layout, new or used. After a bit of thought I decided to make a pocket page to hold love notes and cards.

I discovered by doing this project how few real stamps come on our mail these days. I think that is  sad. I love my mail during the holidays with all those cheerful stamps. Since I didn't have enough postage stamps for my project, I made some of my own using a couple of "stamp" clear stamps. This is a great option especially if you would like your project to be archival.
Be sure and check ou If It's Groovy to see all of  the design teams' take on the challenge.

If It's Groovy: Message on the Hand

My first project as a design team member for If It's Groovy was to write a message on my hand, something I'd like to say to the world. I chose "Make Everyday Count" You can see the post here: http://ifitsgroovy.blogspot.com/2011/09/message-on-my-hand-sheena.html
Here is the layout itself:
